I’ve Been Working on the Railway was first staged at the The Workshops Rail Museum, Ipswich, 18 May – 19 August 2012. The original exhibition has also been adapted to a series of pull-up banners which are now touring regional Queensland. This exhibition explores the little known railway stories of Aboriginal people, Torres Strait Islanders and Australian South Sea Islanders and their contribution to the development of rail across Australia.

The Museum was awarded the Gallery and Museum Achievement Awards 2014 Special Commendation – Organisation with 4 or more staff for this exhibition.
